Gregory Owen Zaun...Married... Graduated from St. Francis (CA) High School in 1989... Earned Delrey League MVP honors his senior year... Was a member of the gold-winning Team USA at the 1989 World Junior Championships... Played in the 1989 U.S. Olympic Festival... Is the nephew of former Major League catcher Rick Dempsey... His uncle, Pat, spent 11 years in pro baseball... Mother, Cherie, is a former pro golfer and former women's golf coach at the University of Southern California...Prior to the beginning of the 2007 season, joined the athlete-driven international humanitarian organization, "Right To Play"...He was Major League Baseball's first representative... Supported Right To Play by originally donating $1,000 for every runner he threw out during the season...Gregg & his wife, Jamie, presented "Right to Play" with a cheque for $25,000 in September.
