The Rays television partner, SUN Sports, airs a minimum of 150 Rays games. All games are available throughout Florida's 7 million-plus cable TV homes in standard definition and HD. Dewayne Staats anchors the Emmy Award-winning Sun Sports telecast and has been the play-by-play TV voice of the Rays since the team's inception in 1998. He is joined by color analyst Brian Anderson, in-game reporter Todd Kalas, and pre- and postgame hosts Barry Lebrock and Orestes Destrade. The Rays have a close working relationship with SUN Sports and have the ability to seamlessly integrate TV spots, features and live reads into game broadcasts.
The Rays Radio Network is owned and operated by the Tampa Bay Rays and is the only source for local and regional play-by-play coverage of all 162 games. The flagship station is 620 WDAE (Clear Channel-Sports Talk) with one of the most powerful AM signals in the state. The Rays Radio Network has grown to 21 affiliates nationally.
Rays Radio airs the following programming:
Play-by-Play broadcast team Dave Wills and Andy Freed have shared the booth since 2004. Between them, they have called more than 2,000 Rays games, including each playoff contest in the franchise's history.
Neil Solondz joined the Rays Radio broadcast team in 2012 after serving as the play-by-play broadcaster for the AAA Durham Bulls for eight seasons. Neil hosts the pregame, postgame and "This Week in Rays Baseball" broadcasts.
The Rays also own and operate the Rays Spanish broadcast that can be heard on two stations in the market, WGES 680 AM airs more than 100 games and WAMA 1550 ESPN Deportes airs all Rays games on Sunday. These Spanish broadcasts also provide the feed for the SAP television feature during all Rays home games.
