- The Tampa Bay Rays are kicking off the 2008 season with Fan Fest on Saturday, February 23 at Tropicana Field from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.!
- This event is FREE to attend and features FREE parking
- A FREE team autograph session will take place throughout the entire event
- Baseball memorabilia will be showcased displaying collections from some of the greatest players of the game featuring autographed baseballs from Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb. The Ted Williams Museum and Hitters Hall of Fame will also be featured with a portion of their collection on display at the event
 A special appearance by The Rookie, Jim Morris
- A silent auction will take place throughout the day benefitting the Rays Baseball Foundation community efforts
- As the presenting sponsor for Fan Fest, MetroPCS will be presenting the Call-A-Friend opportunity where fans have the ability to let one of their favorite Rays players make a call to their friends
 MLB.com analyst, Harold Reynolds, will be present for the event in the brewhouse for panel discussions with fans along with the Rays Radio Network personalities and Rays TV broadcasters
- Star in a Rays Commercial: Stop by the Rays video booth to tryout and see if you have what it takes to star in a 2008 Rays commercial.
- Kids and parents can run the actual bases their favorite Rays players run during the games!
- This family friendly event will include activities for everyone in the family including a wiffle ball home run derby challenge, speed pitch machines, batting cages, home to first speed challenge, and more!
- FREE clubhouse tours will be given this year so you can check out where your favorite Rays players spend their time preparing for the games
