Rays Baseball Foundation Grant Recipients

The Rays Baseball Foundation is committed to supporting youth and education programs throughout the Tampa Bay region. In 2008, the Rays Baseball Foundation proudly invested more than $600,000 in youth and education programs in the Tampa Bay area through grant programs and community outreach initiatives. The three grant programs listed below will again be offered in 2009.


Community Fund Grant Program

The Rays Community Fund Grant Program provides assistance to local non-profits in the Tampa Bay region. Grants awarded through this program average $5,000. These funds add to and support current programs offered by community-based non-profit organizations. The 2009 application deadline has passed.

All-Star Grant Program

The Rays Baseball Foundation is proud to support non-profit organizations that focus primarily on youth and education programs in the Tampa Bay region making a measurable difference in our community.

The Rays Baseball Foundation's All-Star Grant will be awarded to a Tampa Bay organization(s) starting a new program/project or creating a major expansion to an existing program/project in line with the goals of the Foundation. Grants will typically be in the $50,000-$100,000 range. Preference will be given to programs or projects that serve Tampa Bay at-risk youth throughout the region and create a significant and lasting impact on the community.

Field Renovation Program

The Rays Field Renovation Program provides new or renovated youth ball fields to various communities throughout the Tampa Bay region. Through municipal and corporate partnerships, the Rays Baseball Foundation works with landscapers and contractors to overhaul individual fields. The Rays Baseball Foundation will determine a field's individual needs on a case by case basis. The 2009 application deadline has passed.
