The Tampa Bay Rays recently hosted ALS Awareness Night at Tropicana Field. Hundreds of ALS supporters were in the stands helping to raise awareness. Rays radio personality, Andy Freed, read Lou Gehrig's famous Farewell Speech prior to the game. Matt June, who was diagnosed with ALS in September 2009 threw out the Ceremonial First Pitch of the game. Matt also proposed to his girlfriend that night. She said yes.
