Experience short, but youngest member of 'pen can make mark

"Exciting, very exciting," Price said, a smile lighting up his face.
"They've shown faith in me all year," Price said. "Putting me out there [to debut] at Yankee Stadium, getting me a start [Sept. 22]. ... So I appreciate it."
Price said he "definitely" feels he is ready to contribute to Tampa Bay's franchise-first playoff run, and will be the youngest member of the Rays' bullpen.
The club announced the official roster Thursday morning, although Price found out Tuesday and was able to tell his parents, who were in attendance for Thursday's opener.
Rays manger Joe Maddon said Price will be used primarily for length out of the bullpen, since the lefty is a starter-turned-reliever.
"But I would not be opposed to popping him in there in the middle for an inning," Maddon said. "We still don't know how long it's going to take for him to get ready or to bounce back."
Price has just five career appearances entering Thursday's American League Division Series. Only 12 players (six pitchers) in the modern era have appeared in the postseason with fewer career games played.
