Offense sticks it to Astros
Crawford's three hits lead Rays' surge

Devil Rays at the plate: Carl Crawford went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs, Ty Wigginton had a pair of doubles to go with two RBIs, Elijah Dukes went 3-for-3 and Delmon Young contributed two hits in the Rays' romp.
Astros at the plate: Carlos Lee went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles. Brad Ausmus doubled and scored a run.
Devil Rays on the mound: James Shields held the Astros to two runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings. The right-hander walked four.
Astros on the mound: Woody Williams had a very rough night, allowing nine earned runs on 12 hits in four-plus innings. Six of the 12 hits the right-hander surrendered went for extra bases.
Grapefruit League records: Devil Rays 5-16; Astros 12-7.
Up next: Houston right-hander Chris Sampson continues his bid to claim a rotation spot when he starts against the Washington Nationals in a 6:05 p.m. CT game at Osceola County Stadium on Thursday night. Right-hander Jerome Williams will start for Washington.
The Devil Rays will host Minnesota on Thursday in a 7:05 p.m. ET game at Progress Energy Park. Left-hander Casey Fossum will start for the Devil Rays while right-hander Boof Bonser will be on the mound for the Twins.
