The Tampa Bay Rays have selected right-handed pitcher Jeremy Hellickson, outfielder Desmond Jennings and left-handed pitcher Alexander Torres to the 40-man roster. In addition, first baseman Carlos Peña was reinstated from the 60-day disabled list.

Evan Longoria today was named the Rawlings American League Gold Glove Award recipient for third base. He is the second Ray to earn the honor, joining first baseman Carlos Peña (2008).

The Tampa Bay Rays today exercised their $10 million option for the 2010 season on left fielder Carl Crawford. The Rays declined the 2010 options on left-handed relief pitcher Brian Shouse and catcher Gregg Zaun.

The Tampa Bay Rays have added three minor league coordinators for the 2010 season. Bill Evers will join Jim Hoff as Minor League Field Coordinator, Matt Quatraro will join Steve Livesey as Hitting Coordinator, and Dewey Robinson has been hired to join Dick Bosman as Pitching Coordinator. In addition, the Rays have named Matt Arnold the Director of Pro Scouting and Tateki "Bori" Uchibori an International Scout.

The Tampa Bay Rays today announced their 2010 Spring Training schedule as well as ticket pricing for 15 home games at Charlotte Sports Park. In their second spring in Charlotte County, Fla., the Rays will open the home schedule on Thursday, March 4 against the Baltimore Orioles.
