    Following a six-game road trip, the Tampa Bay Rays return to Tropicana Field on Monday to begin their final homestand of the season during which they will host the New York Yankees (September 15-17) and Chicago White Sox (September 19-21).

    On Thursday, September 4, the Rays Baseball Foundation, the official charity of the Tampa Bay Rays, awarded a total of $100,000 to 19 local nonprofit organizations through the second cycle of the 2014 Community Fund Grant Program.

  • Rays Wives to host pet food drive on Sunday to benefit Pet Pal Animal Shelter

    The Tampa Bay Rays will host the second of two Dog Days at Tropicana Field on Sunday, September 7 when the Rays take on the Baltimore Orioles at 1:40 p.m. The Rays Wives will also host a pet food drive to benefit Pet Pal Animal Shelter in St. Petersburg.

  • Rays Baseball Foundation and Helios Education Foundation announce 2014 scholars

    In 2012, the Rays Baseball Foundation and Helios Education Foundation teamed up to provide $1 million in college scholarships for students participating in Take Stock in Children in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Sarasota, Manatee and Pasco counties over a five-year period. On Friday, August 29, the Tampa Bay Rays and Helios will recognize a new class of scholars for 2013-14 during a pregame presentation at Tropicana Field.

  • Rays host three American League East opponents over 10-game homestand

    ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.-The Tampa Bay Rays return to Tropicana Field on Friday to begin a 10-game homestand against American League East opponents. The Rays first take on the Boston Red Sox (August 29-September 1) in a four-game series that concludes on Labor Day before facing the Toronto Blue Jays (September 2-4) and Baltimore Orioles (September 5-7) for three games apiece.

  • Rays host Yankees, Tigers on six-game homestand

    The Tampa Bay Rays return to Tropicana Field on Friday for a six-game homestand featuring a weekend series against the New York Yankees (August 15-17) and a three-game set against the Detroit Tigers (August 19-21).

  • Loney, Rays donate to Guardian ad Litem Foundation

    In a pregame ceremony this afternoon, Tampa Bay Rays first baseman James Loney and his wife Nadia presented a check for $70,000 to the Guardian ad Litem Foundation of Tampa Bay.

  • Rays acquire Smyly, Franklin, Adames in three-team trade

    The Tampa Bay Rays have completed a three-team trade with the Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners, sending left-handed pitcher David Price to Detroit. The Rays acquire left-handed pitcher Drew Smyly and minor league shortstop Willy Adames from Detroit, and infielder Nick Franklin from Seattle. In addition, Seattle acquires outfielder Austin Jackson from Detroit.
