The Toronto Blue Jays will start LHP Aaron Laffey tonight in New York against the Yankees.  RHP Josh Johnson will miss the start as a precaution after experiencing right triceps tightness.

LAFFEY, 28, will be making his Blue Jays season debut after being claimed on waivers from the New York Mets on April 23. In four appearances with the Mets, two starts, the 6-0, 200 lb. left-handed pitcher was 0-0 with a 7.20 ERA. In 2012 with the Blue Jays, he posted a 4-6 record with a 4.56 ERA in 22 games, with 16 starts. He enters tonight's starts with a 25-29 career record in 152 games, 67 starts with one save and an ERA of 4.44.

JOHNSON, 29, has started four games this season for Toronto posting an 0-1 record with a 6.86 ERA.
