The Yankees continued to have problems with knuckleball pitcher Tim Wakefield as they dropped Monday's Game 4 of the ALCS at Fenway Park. New York starter Mike Mussina surrendered three runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings and took the loss. The Yankees closed the gap in the top of the ninth when Ruben Sierra hit a pinch-hit solo homer that pulled the Bronx Bombers to within a run. Full story >

Todd Walker and Trot Nixon hit solo homers and Jason Varitek drove in what turned out to be the deciding run on a pinch-hit groundout as the Red Sox evened the ALCS at two wins apiece with a Game 4 win on Monday night. Knuckleball pitcher Tim Wakefield baffled New York, allowing one run in seven-plus innings as he picked his second win in the series against the Yankees. Full story >
