MARCH
March 30, 2013 - Angels 5K & Fun Run + Health Expo

The 3rd Annual Angels 5K & Fun Run took place on Saturday. March 30th. Participants had the opportunity to run and walk the course which went throughout Angel Stadium, including behind home plate, and concluded in front of the Home Plate Gate and the 2013 Heath Fair/Expo. All participants received a commemorative t-shirt and ticket voucher for the Angels vs. Dodgers game on March 30th!


APRIL
April 13, 2013 - Angels RBI Baseball Clinic at Angel Stadium

The Angels will host a morning Baseball Clinic at Angel Stadium for the members of the Angels RBI League. The Angels RBI League, in partnership with Major League Baseball, Angels Baseball and local Boys & Girls Clubs, provides kids who would otherwise not have the chance, the opportunity to play baseball and softball in an organized league. During the clinic, members of the league, ages 12 to 18, practice their fielding, batting, sliding, and pitching skills in the Angels outfield with Boys & Girls Club staff, local coaches, and Angels players and coaches.

April 14, 2013 - Jackie Robinson Night

On April 14th, Angels will join the New York Yankees, MLB, its clubs, players and fans to recognize Jackie Robinson Day and celebrate his monumental impact on baseball and civil rights for all. All Angels' players will wear the retired #42 jersey in honor of Jackie Robinson.

April 23, 2013 - Autism Speaks Night

On April 23rd the Angels will host the Orange County chapter of Autism Speaks. Major League Baseball is partnering with Autism Speaks to recognize April as National Autism Awareness Month in a joint partnership. Autism Speaks will be recognized during a pregame ceremony and a youngster from the organization will be given the opportunity to announce "Play Ball!"

April 24, 2013 - CIF Awards Night

The Angels are proud to annually honor the winners of the annual CIF Southern Section Academic Awards program during an on-field pre-game ceremony. These awards are given to local high school athletic teams who achieve at least a 3.0 grade point average during the first semester of the 2012-2013 school year. Each of the CIF-SS schools also selects a male and female individual Student-Athlete of the Year. After being recognized on the field, the group is invited to enjoy a great night of Angels Baseball with friends and family.

April 27, 2013 - Angels Memorabilia Sale

The Angels Memorabilia Sale, benefitting the Angels Baseball Foundation, will take place at Angel Stadium by Gate 3. There will game used jerseys, baseballs, helmets, broken bats, cleats, batting gloves, BP tops etc. Autographed Past Players; jerseys, hats, helmets, baseballs, bats and photos. As well as miscellaneous items. NO BASES AND NO PROMO ITEMS. The memorabilia sale will start promptly at 9 a.m. The line will start outside of Gate 3. Limits on quantity of items will apply.

May 13, 2013 - Mother's Day and Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Awareness Day

The Angels are proud to partner with Major League Baseball and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation in their fight against breast cancer. During the game, the Angels join teams across MLB supporting the cause by wearing pink wristbands and pink ribbons on their uniforms. Players have the opportunity to use pink bats, which will later be auctioned to raise money for this important cause.

Prior to the game, the Angels and representatives from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation will honor breast cancer survivors during a pre-game ceremony. The Angels will also recognize an Honorary Bat Girl Winner, chosen by fans through a League-wide contest.

May 14, 2013 - Special Olympics Torch Run

The Angels are proud to welcome representatives from Special Olympics Orange County and local Law Enforcement agencies as they run the Special Olympics torch around the warning track prior to the game. Each year, Special Olympics athletes, in conjunction with Law Enforcement agencies, participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run to kick off the Special Olympics Southern California Summer Games at Cal State University Long Beach. In the coming days, over 4,000 officers will carry the torch through more than 250 communities in an effort to raise money for local Special Olympics programs throughout Southern California while increasing community awareness of both Special Olympics and its 2013 Summer Games.

May 15, 2013 - Water Awareness Night

The Anaheim City Council has proclaimed May as Water Awareness Month. For many years, Anaheim Public Utilities has sponsored a Water Conservation Poster Contest for all Anaheim students in first through sixth grade as part of its Water Awareness Month campaign. The Angels will honor the first-, second- and third place winners of the Water Conservation Poster Contest during a pre-game ceremony. Participating in this contest helps raise the awareness of the importance of water conservation in Anaheim children and their artwork spreads the message throughout the community. After the ceremony the winners are able to enjoy a night of baseball with their families and friends.

May 20, 2013 - Albert Pujols Celebrity Golf Classic, Trump National Golf Course

The 11th Annual Albert Pujols Celebrity Golf Classic will take place at Trump National Golf Course in Palos Verdes. The event will feature athletes, sports personalities and entertainers along with an awards ceremony, dinner and auction. The tournament provides an entertaining event to raise funds and awareness for the Pujols Family Foundation.

June 1, 2013 - MLB Pitch, Hit & Run Finals at Angel Stadium

The MLB Pitch, Hit and Run is the official youth skills competition of Major League Baseball. Boys and girls, ages 7 to 14, are given the opportunity to showcase their abilities in three fundamental skills: pitching, hitting and running. The Angels will honor the local winners of the MLB Pitch, Hit and Run competition during tonight's pre-game ceremonies. The group will compete earlier in the day at Angel Stadium of Anaheim for a morning skills contest. Participants advance through four levels of competition: Local, Sectional, Team and National with the National Finals to be held at the 2013 All-Star Game at Metlife Stadium.

Intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the fun of baseball, MLB Pitch, Hit and Run gives kids nationwide the opportunity to compete free of charge. For more information, please visit mlb.com/phr.

June 1, 2013 - Gold Ball Mystery Grab Bag, benefitting Special Olympics

On Saturday, June 1st, the Angels and Special Olympics, Southern California will host the third "Gold Ball Mystery Grab Bag" event at the Big "A." The Angels' Wives and Special Olympics athletes will sell $40 "mystery bags" from 5 p.m. until supplies last, containing baseballs autographed by current Angels players and coaches*. Additionally, raffle tickets will be sold for an opportunity to win other autographed and game used Angels items.

Fans will also have the chance to win one of the 12 baseballs wrapped in gold paper hidden in the mystery bags. The winners of these gold balls will win four tickets to an upcoming game and the chance to meet the Angel who signed the ball during batting practice.

Proceeds will benefit Special Olympics, Southern California and the Angels Baseball Foundation.

*Please note that due to the limited number of "Mystery Bags," there will be a two (2) bag limit per person, while supplies last.

June 3, 2013 - Angels to Honor Eighth Class of Angels Scholars

Prior to tonight's game, the Angels will honor the 2013 Angels Scholars class in a pregame on-field ceremony. The Angels Baseball Foundation and the Orange County Department of Education identify outstanding eighth graders based on their academic achievement, financial need and enrollment in the college preparatory program, AVID. The Angels Baseball Foundation will award each Angels Scholar a partial scholarship upon their acceptance into a four-year college.

The fourth class of Angels Scholars will graduate from High School this year and will receive their scholarships once accepted into college along with a new laptop generously donated by Toshiba.

June 8, 2013 - Angels Baseball Foundation/United Way WALK UNITED

The Angels Baseball Foundation and Orange County United Way invite you to take the first step to overcome poverty in Orange County by signing up for WALK UNITED, Saturday, June 8 at Angel Stadium. These are tough times for many families and by teaming up with Orange County United Way and the Angels Baseball Foundation we can improve lives. So join us on Saturday, June 8 and WALK UNITED. WALK UNITED will feature a unique course that will take you around the Angels' field and will feature live entertainment along the course, free activities in the kid-at-heart zone, and gourmet food trucks. June 28, 2013 - Angels RBI League End of the Year Banquet

The Angels are proud to host the members of the Angels RBI League at an end of season banquet prior to tonight's game. Over 600 members of the league will be treated to dinner and special guest speakers in Angel Stadium's Music Garden. After the banquet, the group will be recognized during an on-field pre-game ceremony and will then be attending the night's game.

The Angels RBI League, as a partnership of Major League Baseball, Angels Baseball and Boys & Girls Clubs Orange County Alliance, uses the games of baseball and softball to make a positive impact on the youth of Orange County. The Angels RBI League provides kids ages 12-18, who would otherwise not have the chance, the opportunity to play baseball and softball. The league has served over 8,500 boys and girls in its ten seasons of play, with almost 500 playing in just the last season. A structured league format is provided for every participant, including a 10-game regular season; an on-field instructional clinic at Angel Stadium of Anaheim with professional coaches, players and trainers; an end-of-season play-off tournament and all-star team opportunity.

On July 6, 2013, the Angels will host a special Youth Baseball Day Camp at Angel Stadium, and features instruction and insight from Angels players and coaches. July 9, 2013 - Rally Readers on the Green

Angels Baseball and Denny's are joining forces to promote reading as a fun summer activity! Join us at the ballpark for "Reading on the Green" from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Kids along with one chaperone will be encouraged to read in the outfield at Angel Stadium. Must sign up at angels.com/rallyreaders as the field reading session will be limited to 150 kids plus one adult. Reading logs are available starting May 15th at local Denny's restaurants and at angels.com/rallyreaders.

July 20, 2013 - Angels Wives and Anaheim Fire Fighters to "Fill the Boot"

Join the Angels Wives and members of the Anaheim Firefighter's Association as they host their "Fill the Boot" fundraiser benefitting the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Orange County. They will be collecting cash and coin from 5 p.m. through the 2nd inning outside the gates of Angel Stadium. The Angels Wives and Anaheim Fire Department will present the funds raised to MDA during a pregame ceremony on July 23rd - the Angels 4ALS night.

July 21, 2013 - Angels Baseball Equipment Drive

Join the Angels and the Baseball Tomorrow Fund for their 6th Equipment Drive on July 21st ! Fans are encouraged to bring new or used gloves, bats, balls, etc. to the ballpark and drop them off at any of the bins located at Gates 1, 4 and the Home Plate Gate. Volunteers from local Little Leagues will be manning the collection bins from 4 p.m. through the 2nd inning. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

The first 1,000 fans who donate equipment or $10 or more will receive a commemorative Angels pin.

Prior to today's game, the Angels and the Baseball Tomorrow Fund will recognize the Equipment Drive recipients during an on-field ceremony. The Baseball Tomorrow Fund will be presenting two local Little Leagues or Softball League with a monetary grant to help purchase new equipment.

July 23, 2013 - 4ALS - Angels Join Muscular Dystrophy Association to Raise Awareness for ALS

The Angels and MLB proudly support 4ALS, an initiative that raises awareness and support for the fight against ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), otherwise known as "Lou Gehrig's Disease."

Tonight, in continuing with baseball's longstanding commitment to ALS awareness, the Angels will recognize the courage and strength of all those battling the disease. In support of the fight against ALS, the Angels have donated tickets to tonight's game to the Muscular Dystrophy Association for ALS patients and their families.

Prior to the game, the Angels Wives and the Anaheim Fire Department will present a check to representatives from the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Orange County from their Fill the Boot fundraiser.

Prior to tonight's game, the Angels will honor their recipient of the 2013 Roberto Clemente Award. He is one of 30 Major League Club nominees for the national 2013 Roberto Clemente Award, which is given annually to the Major League Baseball player who combines outstanding skills on the baseball field with devoted work in the community. The winner of the 2013 Roberto Clemente Award will be announced during the 2013 World Series.

September 19, 2013 - CJ Wilson's Children's Charities

Join Angels starting pitcher CJ Wilson for the fifth annual CJ Wilson's Children's Charities "Throw Strikes" bowling tournament on Thursday, September 19th at 300 Anaheim from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. The event will benefit the patients of the Hematology and Oncology Clinic at Children's Hospital of Orange County and The Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. September 28, 2013 - Light the Night Walk at Angel Stadium

Join Angels Chairman Dennis Kuhl as the Angels host The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual Light the Night Walk here at the ballpark. The walk is an annual celebration and commemoration of lives touched by cancer. Walkers carry illuminated balloons to raise awareness and funds for blood cancers.


NOVEMBER
November 2, 2013 - Angels and Bank of America to host the annual Challenger Classic

The Angels and Bank of America are proud to host over 30 Challenger Division Little League® teams from Orange County on the morning of November 2nd for the Bank of America Challenger Classic. The teams will each play two-inning, one-hour games in the Angel Stadium outfield. After the games, all teams will participate in a medal ceremony at Home Plate.

November 22-24, 2013 - Angels Groundskeepers Thanksgiving Holiday Canned Food Drive

The Angels' Groundskeepers will host their 12th annual Thanksgiving Holiday Canned Food Drive from Friday, November 22nd thru Sunday, November 24th at Angel Stadium of Anaheim (weather permitting). All proceeds will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County in the fight against hunger during the holiday season.

Donations of three cans of non-perishable food or $2 will be good for one swing against a pitching machine with a maximum of 20 pitches per participant. A donation of two canned food items or $1 per pitch will allow fans to test their pitching skills in the bullpen. Fans will also have the opportunity to shag fly balls in the outfield for a donation of $25 for 15 minutes. The Angels will provide bats, balls and helmets. The Angels Clubhouse Attendants will also provide a tour of the Clubhouse for a donation of $10.Hours for the food drive will be 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Participants can enter Angel Stadium through Gate #1. All proceeds will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County in the fight against hunger during the holiday season.

November 19, 2013 - Angels Baseball Foundation Golf Classic

Golf with current and former Angels greats! Join the Angels Baseball Foundation for their annual Angels Baseball Foundation Golf Classic at Pelican Hill Golf Club on Tuesday, November 19th. Since 2004, this tournament has given Angel fans the opportunity to golf with current and former Angels greats. Past participants include Jim Abbott, Rod Carew, Chuck Finley, Bobby Grich, Dave Winfield, Manager Mike Scioscia, and many others. The tournament will feature a 10:00am shotgun start and will be followed by a reception at Pelican Hill. All proceeds benefit the Angels Baseball Foundation.


DECEMBER
December 2013 - Angels Baseball Foundation Children's Holiday Party

Every December, the Angels Baseball Foundation proudly hosts children from local non-profit organizations at its annual Children's Holiday Party at ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney. Angels players, coaches and broadcasters help spread the holiday cheer by reading holiday stories to the group and signing autographs. The children also enjoy dinner, free play on the arcade games and a special visit from Santa. As they leave, each child receives a special gift, pair of pajamas and a gift to pass on to a loved one.
